Additional InformationAlthough Oscar Héon had carved periodically from the time of his youth, carving became the primary occupation of the last years of his life. Using old fence posts or whatever softwood was available, he created mechanical toys, religious figures, and carvings that captured special moments of human experience. Morning Exercise was inspired by young mothers on a morning television programme.
