Additional InformationA one piece dress made of rusty-brown, finely ribbed wool and silk; probably originally in two pieces. There are buttons up the bodice front and a brown ribbon around the lower half of the skirt. The owner's neck was scarred so she wore high necked dresses and shirts. This dress was worn by Lavinia Damon Merrill, the donor's great-grandmother.
